Improve engagement events and opportunities for the rural communities to ensure voices are heard and concerns raised.

We attended the Eccleshall Show at the weekend and spent some valuable time engaging with our rural communities, building stronger relationships with other partners at the events and building up a wider network of community contacts that can be shared and fed back into the community. The rural, wildlife and heritage teams will be supporting the national rural crime week of action over the coming weeks and will be advertising various events.
Several local residents and businesses reporting 2 homeless men causing issues in the village - being loud and intimidating, drinking, taking drugs and being anti social especially around the Whalf Road shops

The use of pedal bikes, e-bikes and e-scooters on the pavements adjacent to the A34 on the approach to Redhill Island, Stafford. This is causing a hazard to pedestrians that use the footpath.

An operation ran on the 12th and 16th March 2026 by Roads Policing which led to nine vehicles being seized in and around the A34 Redhill area of Stafford. A further operation ran on 23rd April, again resulting in the successful seizure of a vehicle for no insurance and two e-scooters which are not road legal in the UK.

There have been several reports regarding people smoking cannabis from their properties. This is having a detrimental impact on the quality of life of people living in the locality of the area. There have also been reports of drug dealing going on in the area.

Officers have already been out to the area, and completed house to house enquiries, to provide high visibility, and to understand the bigger picture. There will be more Police Surgeries in the area in March and April. If residents sill have concerns, it would be a good opportunity for people to attend the Police Surgeries and speak to their local officers. Community Protection Warnings have been issued, and the Police will be working with other agencies to tackle the crime on the area. Local officers have also been working closely with specialist officers and teams to take positive action against those drug dealing, which has subsequently led to arrests.

Repeat reports of off-road motorbikes causing a risk to pedestrians and also to themselves in the area of Burton Manor and Thorneyfields Lane, and Hyde Lea, Stafford

Continued efforts to resolve this matter are being completed in the way of support from our Roads Policing officers. Additionally a local social media post has generated lines of enquiry to allow us to make proactive efforts to identify those involved.
