about

Your Local Policing Team is a group of local police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area, supported by additional officers across the county who work together to improve the safety and well-being of people, places and communities across Staffordshire.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for your area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our force vision of creating a safer Staffordshire.

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

Improve engagement events and opportunities for the rural communities to ensure voices are heard and concerns raised.

    Issued 20 August 2025

    Action taken:

We attended the Eccleshall Show at the weekend and spent some valuable time engaging with our rural communities, building stronger relationships with other partners at the events and building up a wider network of community contacts that can be shared and fed back into the community. The rural, wildlife and heritage teams will be supporting the national rural crime week of action over the coming weeks and will be advertising various events.

  • Priority:

Several local residents and businesses reporting 2 homeless men causing issues in the village - being loud and intimidating, drinking, taking drugs and being anti social especially around the Whalf Road shops

    Issued 12 November 2025

    Action taken:

Increased patrols in the area both locally from our PCSOs but also support workers and County, Rural and Pro active team to identify who they are and take positive action

    Actioned 14 November 2025

  • Priority:

There have been several reports regarding people smoking cannabis from their properties. This is having a detrimental impact on the quality of life of people living in the locality of the area. There have also been reports of drug dealing going on in the area.

    Issued 17 February 2026

    Action taken:

Officers have already been out to the area, and completed house to house enquiries, to provide high visibility, and to understand the bigger picture. There will be more Police Surgeries in the area in March and April. If residents sill have concerns, it would be a good opportunity for people to attend the Police Surgeries and speak to their local officers. Community Protection Warnings have been issued, and the Police will be working with other agencies to tackle the crime on the area. Local officers have also been working closely with specialist officers and teams to take positive action against those drug dealing, which has subsequently led to arrests.

    Actioned 17 May 2026
