Local Policing Teams
Your Local Policing Team is a group of local police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area, supported by additional officers across the county who work together to improve the safety and well-being of people, places and communities across Staffordshire.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for your area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our force vision of creating a safer Staffordshire.

Concerns have been raised for litter being left around Barlaston Downs. We have approached the council to support with bins and signs

We have approached the council to support with more bins and signs asking people to use the bins or take rubbish home

Priority:
Increase in anti-social behaviour (ASB) at Grindley park in Meir Heath, where large groups of youths are gathering, leaving rubbish and drinking alcohol. This has become the place to be for young persons to gather, especially during school holidays and with the recent warm weather.
Action taken:
Dispersed without a dispersal notice, which was considered, alcohol seized and ASB warning letters sent out.

Increased reports of drugs been dealt and increased use of cannabis in Barlaston.
Action taken:
Increased patrols in the area, intelligence gathering and positive action taken against offenders.

Priority:
We have seen an increase in reports of hare coursing in the rural areas, which appears to be a national trend. Officers from the County Pro Active and Rural team have been tasked to try and gather intelligence and take positive action against anyone believed to be committing offences.
Action taken:
County proactive and rural teams asked to patrol the area, gather intelligence around those committing offences and take positive action.
