Our county proactive and rural crime teams have supported us with high visibility patrols in this area. Several arrests have been made of individuals identified through intelligence and proactive policing work. We will continue to monitor the issues.

Drugs in Eccleshall High Street and surrounding areas

Our County Proactive and Rural team have spent time in the local area targeting nominals based on the intelligence we have received. This has resulted in several stop searches and a vehicle of a nominal involved in dealing drugs being seized. Investigations remain ongoing and we will continue to patrol the area with uniform and plain clothes officers.

We've had a slight increase in reports of parking in the High Street being an issue and causing obstructions for other motorists and pedestrians

High visibility patrols in the area have been carried out, smart alerts sent to local residents and information shared with the council. Consideration of parking buddies.

The location will be targeted on a regular basis at peak times in order to disrupt those involved.

Boy racers and anti-social behaviour (ASB) with vehicles has been recorded as the biggest issue from the community in this area.

Local officers have adapted the patrol plan to be more visible in the area and have bid for road crime support to create operations to take positive action against those causing the issues.

Vehicles are attending Elford Heath car park, driving in an anti-social manner and playing loud music.

Local residents have been visited, warning signs have been installed and patrols have been increased in the area.

Ongoing contact with those involved, whereby a Community Protection Warning has been issued to the main suspect.
