Local Policing Teams
Your Local Policing Team is a group of local police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area, supported by additional officers across the county who work together to improve the safety and well-being of people, places and communities across Staffordshire.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for your area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our force vision of creating a safer Staffordshire.

Traffic-related concerns continue to be raised and with the start of the new school year, this will remain a focus for our local officers
Action taken:
Our local PCSO has delivered targeted education sessions to both parents and pupils. These sessions highlight the risks and disruption caused by unsafe parking, especially during school drop-off and pick-up times. By working closely with schools and residents, we aim to promote long-term behavioural change and improve road safety for everyone. We’ve also made effective use of the Staffordshire Smart Alert system to keep residents informed and engaged. This allows us to respond swiftly to any emerging concerns, ensuring the community remains up to date with our activity and feels heard.
On the issue of speeding, our road crime team has maintained a strong presence in hotspot locations, particularly along the A34, where enforcement action is taken when necessary. Section 59 warnings have also been issued to those engaging in anti-social driving behaviour, helping to deter repeat offences and encourage responsible use of the roads.

Water safety in the brook
Action taken:
In the hotter summer months, concerns have been raised around children playing in the brook and the safety of doing so. Our local PCSO is working with the local schools to educate children around the dangers of water, as well as providing high visibility patrols in that specific area.

This initiative has proven very successful thus far and we will continue to grow this within the community. PCSO Woodward is committed to increasing the communication withing the area, to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner. Please reach out to him if you see him on patrol to discuss any concerns you have. We have noted that animal fouling has been raised as once of the main issues of concern in the area. This is a matter for the local authority and should be reported directed to them.

Ongoing concerns around inconsiderate and obstructive parking, affecting road safety, accessibility for emergency services, and quality of life for residents.
Action taken:
We are working with the Safer Roads Team and Road Crime Team to carry out targeted enforcement and intelligence-led activity in identified hotspot locations to reduce offending behaviour and increase visibility. Our PCSOs will take every appropriate opportunity to engage with drivers, providing education where suitable and taking enforcement action where necessary.

Vehicles exceeding speed limits, contributing to safety concerns and increased risk of collisions within the community.
Action taken:
We have collaborated with the Safer Roads Team and Road Crime Team to carry out targeted enforcement and intelligence-led activity in problem areas which includes proactively identifying problem areas and peak times for parking and speeding issues.
Our PCSOs are taking every appropriate opportunity to engage with drivers, providing education where suitable and taking enforcement action where necessary. Focused patrols and operations in identified hotspot locations to reduce offending behaviour and increase visibility.
