  • Our priorities
  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

Regular reports of anti-social behaviour involving nuisance vehicles / motorcycles in public spaces.

    Issued 11 September 2026

    Action taken:

Regular patrols focussed on hot-spot areas involving specialist support from Staffordshire Police Roads Policing Unit - with off-road capabilities. Partnership working is underway involving Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council to consider powers available under Public Space Protection Orders. Regular monitoring of reports made by members of the public to track progress in tackling this anti-social behaviour.

    Actioned 11 September 2026

  • Priority:

Anti-social behaviour (ASB) and criminal damage, specifically in and around Clough Hall Park and Bathpool Park

    Issued 11 September 2026

    Action taken:

ASB legislation such as Community Protection Warnings/Notices and Community Behaviour Orders will be used where repeat offenders are identified. Ongoing patrol and activity around Kidsgrove and Clough Hall Park along with the setting up of a local youth club has lead to a reduction in ASB calls.

Calls relating to ASB will be monitored and both proactive and reactive work undertaken. High visibility patrols to continue and intelligence monitored and used to disrupt drug related activity and the associated ASB.

Consultation has taken place with local councillors to understand the issues raised by residents and businesses. Focus remains on anti-social behaviour by use of motorcycles and electric scooters. Joint working with specialist Road Crime Policing units underway to identify repeat offenders and apply enforcement where opportunities present.

    Actioned 11 September 2026

  • Priority:

Increased reports of theft and shoplifting at Affinity Retail Centre, Talke.

    Issued 31 August 2026

    Action taken:

Where repeat locations are identified officers will work with stores and the Early Intervention and Prevention Unit to offer crime prevention advice. Calls will be monitored on a daily basis with a view to identifying and prosecuting offenders. Bail conditions, Community Protection Notices/Warnings and Criminal Behaviour Orders will be used where repeat offenders are identified.

Consultation with management of retail / businesses within Affinity has taken place. Better understanding of target hardening, crime prevention and timely reporting of thefts made to police. Ongoing high visibility patrols continue by Neighbourhood Policing Officers and monitoring will continue.

    Actioned 11 September 2026
