  • Our priorities
  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

Car cruising and the associated traffic offences/anti-social behaviour (ASB) on various areas centred around the the A34.

    Issued 05 June 2026

    Action taken:

Regular operations by the Road Crime Team targeting vehicles for speeding, anti-social behaviour and any breaches of Public Space Protection Orders supplemented by dedicated officers at peak times to proactively police and deter vehicles from car cruising. Vehicles to be seized and fines issued where offences identified. CCTV used to retrospectively to identify and prosecute any offences identified. Joint working with neighbouring forces to co-ordinate response to car cruising and associated ASB.

Regular patrols continue to recognise a continuation of nuisance vehicles causing anti-social behaviour.

    Actioned 05 June 2026

  • Priority:

Nuisance, off-road motorcycles on greenways and surrounding roads.

    Issued 05 June 2026

    Action taken:

Working with partners such as housing, we are collating details of bikes and descriptions of offenders. Through the use of CCTV, drones and fixed wing aircraft in conjunction with our road crime officers to track and locate offending off-road bikes and offenders, a number of vehicle seizures and prosecutions have been made. We are continuing to use anti-social behaviour legislation to seize and destroy bikes as well as issuing Community Protection Warnings/Notices to tackle repeat offenders. This work is ongoing.

    Actioned 05 June 2026

  • Priority:

Drug uses/Supply and associated criminality and ASB.

Intelligence and incident reporting monitored to create a picture of offending and those involved in the supply of drugs.

Targeted activity to disrupt offenders through stop search/arrest.

Devolopment of intelligence to target specific addresses and locations.

    Issued 02 March 2026

    Action taken:

Closure Orders to be taken out on problem addresses where drug use and supply are identified. This is ongoing work with calls monitored and problem locations/suspects identified and heard at problem solving meetings. Both uniformed and plain clothes officers are operating in the area to offer both proactive policing and a visible deterrence. Intelligence will be used to target drug supply lines and exploitation through use of Stop Search Powers and Drugs Warrants

    Actioned 02 June 2026

  • Priority:

Theft and shoplifting offences within local stores

    Issued 05 June 2026

    Action taken:

Where repeat locations are identified, problem solving officers will work with stores and the Early Intervention and Prevention Unit to offer crime prevention advice. Locations are to be included in patrol strategy.
Calls will be monitored on a daily basis with a view to identifying and prosecuting offenders. Bail conditions, Community Protection Notices/Warnings and Criminal Behaviour Orders to be used where repeat offenders are identified.

Local Police continue to be aware of reports of theft / shoplifting affecting small businesses and patrols continue to identify repeat offenders and deter crime.

    Actioned 05 June 2026
