Officers are completing high visibility patrols to reassure the local community by taking enforcement action against those committing these offences. Officers are working closely with key individual networks, protecting the most vulnerable and those subject to exploitation.

Retail crime within the Rugeley area.
Action taken:
Our local officers are working closely with retail outlets and business owners to identify offenders and reduce any threat or risk. Officers complete patrols at key locations and key times when footfall increases. The use of storenet and information sharing is key to ensuring the safety of all residents and visitors.

Dealing with prolific shoplifters.
Action taken:
Officers are taking positive action against incidents of shoplifting and utilising civil powers to address prolific offenders.

Reducing ASB and preventing re-offending.
Action taken:
Local officers will patrol key locations where ASB incidents are reported.

Action taken:
We've seen an increase in ASB with young people congregating outside retail premises. We will work with local businesses and partners to reduce this and try to re focus the youth into diversionary activities.
