Two arrested following wildfire

Two teenagers have been arrested following a wildfire in Stoke-on-Trent.
We were called at 4.55pm on Wednesday 12 August to land to the side of the A50 following reports of a fire.
Officers attended the scene alongside colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service.
The fire spread rapidly and a number of houses were evacuated.
An investigation was launched and two arrests have been made today (Tuesday 27 October).
A 13-year-old boy, of Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to property valued over £5,000.
A 14-year-old boy, of Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of arson.
They have both been released under investigation whilst our enquiries continue.
