We’re investigating after two shots were fired into an address in Stoke-on-Trent in what we believe is a targeted incident.
At 12.05am this morning (Thursday 11 June), we were called to Barrett Drive in Cobridge following a report of a firearm being used.
Officers went to the scene and found that the window of a house had been smashed. Two bullet holes were found inside the house following a search.
No one was injured.
A cordon has been put in place in the area as part of an ongoing investigation into the incident. Forensic officers are examining the scene and local officers are carrying out house to house enquiries, reviewing CCTV and progressing a number of enquiries to find out more.
At this stage, we believe the incident to be targeted. Those involved have been safeguarded.
We believe the suspects may have been travelling in a white car at the time of the incident.
We’re keen to hear from anyone who may have any information that can help us with our investigation, particularly those with CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage from the area at the time. Call 101 or use Live Chat on our website, quoting incident 2 of 11 June.
If you want to report anonymously, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Tell them what you know, not who you are.
