Published: 09:30 25/06/2026 Updated: 09:30 25/06/2026

We have arrested a total of nine men on suspicion of theft offences following a business burglary in Stone.

Officers carried out the majority of the arrests throughout last week (15 June ) and this week (22 June), as part of an ongoing investigation into a burglary at a commercial site on Brooms Road in May 2024.

We had been called at around 9pm on Sunday 12 May 2024 to the premises following reports of an alarm going off.

Officers attended and found that a number of shutters had been damaged, and a large amount of stock had been stolen from a warehouse at the site, with suspects using multiple vehicles to take items away.

Since the burglary, we have been able to recover a significant amount of the items stolen.

These latest arrests, which are part of an ongoing investigation, include:

  • A 37-year-old man, a 26-year-old man, a 25-year-old man and a 23-year-old man, all from Wolverhampton. The 23-year-old was arrested on suspicion of burglary other than a dwelling – theft. The 37-year-old, 26-year-old and 25-year-old were each arrested on suspicion of burglary other than a dwelling with intent to steal. They have all been released from bail under investigation.

In addition:

  • A 21-year-old man and a 25-year-old man, both from Tipton were also detained. They were each arrested on suspicion of burglary other than dwelling – theft. A 30-year-old man from Bloxwich, was also arrested on suspicion of the same offence. They each remain on conditional police bail.
  • Previously, a 29-year-old man, from Willenhall, was arrested on suspicion of burglary other than a dwelling with intent to steal. He has been released from bail under investigation.
  • A 37-year-old man, from Cannock, previously arrested on suspicion of burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal has been released with no further action to be taken.

We are continuing to make inquiries in relation to the theft and urge anyone with relevant information, CCTV, dashcam and doorbell footage should call us on 101 or use Live Chat on our website, quoting incident number 698 of 12 May 2024.

To report anonymously, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
