Two jailed following investigation into drugs line

Two men have been jailed following an investigation into a drugs line supplying cocaine across Stoke-on-Trent.
Byron Baines, 21, and Lennon Mutch, 20, both from Chell Heath, Stoke-on-Trent, were sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Tuesday 14 July.
They both admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine.
Baines was jailed for two-years-and-four-months and Mutch was jailed for two-years-and-six-months.
On 21 August last year, officers carried out warrants at both men’s homes, which were on the same street in Chell Heath, following an investigation into a drugs line operating in that area.
The investigation revealed that text messages were being sent out to hundreds of recipients, advertising the sale of drugs.
When officers forced entry into Mutch’s home, the drug line phone was thrown out of a window.
The phone was recovered and seized as well as £310 in cash. Another drugs line phone and £115 in cash was seized in Baines’ home.
