A man has been jailed for six months after going to a home in Stafford armed with a metal baseball bat.
Gavin Harrison, 45, of no fixed abode, was sentenced at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Wednesday 31 December, after being arrested two days before by neighbourhood officers.
Harrison went to an address with a metal baseball bat before leaving the area with the weapon on the evening of Monday 29 December.
Following a call to our control room, he was arrested nearby a short time later by officers.

At court he pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and breaching a Community Protection Notice (CPN).
PC Brian Kelly, from Stafford LPT, said: “We welcome the swift justice handed to Harrison by the courts and appreciate the sentence handed, which at summary trial, is the maximum magistrates are permitted to issue.
“We hope that this goes some way to prevent further offending by Harrison and to protect the wider public.”
