Staffordshire Police’s road crime team is set to appear in a new series of Channel 5’s hit documentary Motorway Cops: Catching Britain’s Speeders, giving viewers a behind‑the‑scenes look at the fast‑paced and often challenging work carried out to keep the county’s roads safe.
Film crews have spent several months exclusively with officers from the road crime team, capturing real‑time responses to incidents ranging from high‑speed pursuits and drink‑drive stops to arrests of wanted offenders and attendance at serious collisions.
The new series will follow officers as they tackle criminals using the county‘s road network, respond to emergencies, and support wider policing operations across Staffordshire and beyond.
The show hits our screens on Monday 13 April at 8pm.

Chief Inspector Scott McGrath, from our road crime team, said: “Taking part in this series has been a fantastic experience, giving us the chance to show our communities just how much effort and commitment goes into keeping them safe on our roads.
“The show really opens the door on the huge variety of incidents our road crime team tackles - everything from stopping speeding and drink drivers to tracking down wanted suspects and responding to major collisions. It’s fast-paced, unpredictable work, and the series captures that perfectly.”
“Viewers will see that our officers are relentless when it comes to pursuing criminals and protecting the public.”
“But just as importantly, the programme reveals the human side of the team. I hope people get a sense of the passion, professionalism, and personality behind the badge as they follow us through each episode.”
