A drug dealer from Burton-on-Trent has been jailed after pleading guilty to supplying heroin and crack cocaine.
Shane Gledhill, 37, from Branston, was sentenced to six years-and-two-months in prison at Stafford Crown Court on Monday (27 April) after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of heroin, being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and possession with intent to supply crack cocaine.
An investigation by officers from our major and organised crime team revealed that Gledhill was the main operator of a drugs line in Burton-on-Trent between 3 May 2023 and March 2024.
The investigation culminated in him being arrested in March 2024 after a phone seized from him previously had been examined and found to contain drug supply messages.

The team then searched a home in Burton-on-Trent and found a mobile phone and ‘tick list’ linked to drug supply.
Whilst on court bail for the original offences, Gledhill was stopped and searched by officers in November last year when he discarded a package containing crack cocaine.
Detective Constable, Danielle Brannan, said: “I’m pleased that Gledhill admitted his offending in court and was handed a jail term for his involvement in drug supply in Burton-on-Trent.
“We’re determined to disrupt the supply of illegal substances in Staffordshire and will continue to work hard to protect our communities from harm."
Action against organised crime groups responsible for drug supply in Staffordshire is being taken every day as part of Operation Target, which sees us tackling serious and organised crime.
