Sorry, there was a technical problem. Please try again.
Thanks for trying the 'beta' version of our new website. It's a work in progress, we'll be adding new services over the next few weeks, so please take a look and tell us what you think.
We’ve got four weeks to go until our eagerly anticipated open day in Staffordshire.
The popular event, which is completely free and normally sees around 10,000 people in attendance, will be held at the Staffordshire County Showground on Weston Road, Stafford. This year, we’ll be there on Saturday 13 June, from 11am to 4pm, and we’re excited to showcase all of the things we are doing to keep you safe.
A number of demonstrations will be taking place every hour in the grandstand ring, with the first starting at 12.15pm and the last starting at 3pm. This will give you a chance to see our police dogs, public order teams and firearms officers in action, responding to scenarios that they may face in the real world.
There will also be a host of activities to enjoy on the day, including a VR taser display, a motorbike simulator and a VR blue light ‘run’.
Make your visit fun for the whole family by taking part in our activity trail for the chance to win a family pass to Play at Lower Drayton Farm. Pick up your activity sheet at the main gate to take part.
You’ll also get the chance to meet people from other emergency services in Staffordshire, including Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service, Midlands Air Ambulance, the Armed Forces and the mounted branch from West Midlands Police.
For anyone who may be coming with a view of speaking to us about a career in policing, we’ll also have representatives on hand from our Specials, Custody Detention and the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) Programme.
So many families came to the last open day in June last year and were able to meet some of the brave police officers, dogs and specialist teams working hard every day to serve communities in Staffordshire.
It’s a tradition that we’re really proud of with lots in store for everyone in the family to enjoy.
