Two men are being treated in hospital for serious injuries after we were called to reports of violence in Stoke-on-Trent earlier today.
Officers were called to Barber Road in the Chell area at 9.20am on Saturday (28 June).
One man had sustained a laceration to his leg and presented to hospital for treatment. He remains in a stable condition.
Another man was taken to hospital by ambulance with potentially life-changing injuries.
A cordon is currently in place and officers remain at the scene while our investigation continues.
We believe this was a targeted incident and there is no wider threat to the public at this time.
Officers are conducting house-to-house inquiries and anyone with relevant information, CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage should contact us on 101 quoting incident number 247 of 28 June.
