Appeal for information following Cannock death

We are appealing for information after a man’s body has been found outside an address in Cannock.

We were called to Longford Road at around 4:30am this morning (30 November). Paramedics attempted CPR, but the body was sadly confirmed deceased a short time later.

At this stage we are keeping an open mind about this incident, with the death remaining unexplained, and we are keen to establish the circumstances leading up to his death.

The next of kin of the man, who was in his 40s, have been informed and are now being supported by specially trained officers.    

There will be an increase in the number of local police officers in the area today to provide reassurance and help gather evidence.
