The family of a man who sadly died following a collision in Tamworth have paid tribute to the ‘most kind and thoughtful person you could ever meet’.
We were called at 6.40am on Wednesday 8 January to reports of a collision involving a silver Ford Fiesta and a white BMW coupe on Sutton Road in Mile Oak.
Sadly, the driver of the Ford, 20-year-old Keaton Lacey, from Sutton Coldfield, was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
The driver of the BMW, a 27-year-old man, was taken to hospital by ambulance as a precaution.
Paying tribute to Keaton, his family said: “Keaton was the most kind and thoughtful person you could ever meet.
“He lived each day to the fullest and through this has created many memories with many people. We were so proud of him and loved him dearly.
“Keaton was loved by everyone who ever had the pleasure of meeting him and he has left a hole in many people’s lives.
“We, his family, are devastated at his loss and there are no words that could ever encompass the pain we are all feeling.
“We will never be able to fill the hole he has left in our lives.
“We will forever be waiting for him to come home and make our family whole again.”
Anyone who saw what happened, or recalls seeing either of the vehicles beforehand, or who may have relevant dashcam footage, should contact us on 101 quoting incident number 73 of 8 January.
