A man has been charged with weapon and drug offences following a proactive stop-and-search in Tamworth.
Corrie Plaskitt, 27, of Tamworth, has been charged with possessing a knife or sharp pointed article in a public place and possessing a controlled drug of class B (cannabis).
It comes after we carried out a stop-and-search on Beyer Close in Glascote at 4pm on Tuesday (7 January). Multiple bags of cannabis and a keychain knife were discovered.
A further search of an address in Bolehall found more cannabis and a knife.
Plaskitt has been recalled to prison and is due to appear at Cannock Magistrates’ Court on 24 January.
