A 16-year-old boy has been reported for numerous offences after response officers seized an off-road bike being driven dangerously in Stoke-on-Trent.
We were called to Dividy Road, Bucknall, at 10.30am on Wednesday (9 April) following reports of an off-road bike being driven on the pavement.
Local officers attended the scene and a foot chase ensued after the boy abandoned the bike which was seized.
A 16-year-old boy, from Stoke-on-Trent, was reported for failing to stop, driving without due care and attention, driving other than in accordance with a driving licence and driving a motor vehicle without insurance.
Sgt Michael Johnson, from our Shift 5 team in Longton, said: “We are committed to keeping the roads and members of the public safe in and around the city.
“We will continue to target these offenders and remove off-road bikes from our streets”.
