Appeal after man dies in collision

We are appealing for information after a man sadly died following a collision in south Staffordshire.

Officers were called at 8.30pm on Tuesday (29 April) to the A449 between the A5 at Gailey and junction two of the M54 following reports of a single-vehicle collision.

Officers attended alongside colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Sadly, the driver of the car, a man in his 20s was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene. His next of kin has been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
