We are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in Stoke-on-Trent.
We received a call shortly after 7.30pm on Sunday (19 May) to reports that a man had been assaulted by a group of six or seven young men near the basketball courts in Hanley Park, Ridgeway Road.
The victim was knocked to the ground and repeatedly punched and kicked in the face. He was taken to hospital where he was treated for a broken jaw and facial injuries. Fortunately, his injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
The young men are described as Asian, wearing dark clothes and aged between 16 and 18-years old. They were also seen running off towards Stoke-on-Trent College.
We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and for anyone with any relevant dashcam footage or CCTV footage to get in touch.
