Man arrested after cocaine, cannabis and cash found in stop-search

We have arrested a man on suspicion of drug offences after proactive officers found cocaine, cannabis, a phone and cash in Hednesford.
Officers stopped a white Vauxhall Corsa at 2.50pm on Thursday (18 January) on Bradbury Lane. Following a search of the vehicle, a quantity of cannabis and cocaine, along with cash and a mobile phone were seized.
A 27-year-old man, from Walsall, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class A drug and possession of a class B drug. He has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Detective Sergeant Jon Bradbury, said: “We want to make it crystal clear that drugs are not welcome here in Staffordshire. We will continue to proactively target those involved to protect our most vulnerable and disrupt drug supply in our communities.”
The activity follows our ongoing commitment to proactively target serious and organised crime across Staffordshire.
We launched Operation Target last year and have been working with local police forces to disrupt and pursue criminals who plan, organise and commit serious criminal offences across the county, including drug supply, illegal firearms, knife crime, human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
