We are appealing for information after two bullet holes were found on the front door of a house in Stoke-on-Trent.
Officers were called to Bishop Road in Chell Heath shortly before 3pm on Tuesday (16 January).
No-one inside the home was injured.
At about 9.30pm the night before (Monday 15 January), two loud bangs were heard outside but no one was seen in the area at the time. The holes were not discovered until the following day when the report was made to us.
Officers have been speaking to people in the area and carrying out enquiries to find out more about what happened. More enquiries and searches in the area are expected to take place throughout today (Friday 19 January).
Anyone with any information which can help us with our investigation is asked to get in touch. We are particularly interested in any CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage from the area on Monday night, when the two bangs were heard.
