We have made an arrest in Stoke-on-Trent as part of our ongoing crackdown on drug dealing in Staffordshire.
At around 2.30pm on Friday 9 February, we proactively searched a man on Blurton Road, Blurton.
A 29-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A.
Whilst in custody, we strip-searched him and seized drugs, believed to be crack cocaine, mobile phones and cash.
He has been released under investigation while our enquiries continue.
The arrest forms part of our ongoing commitment to proactively targeting serious and organised crime across Staffordshire.
We launched Operation Target in May last year and have been working with local police forces to disrupt and pursue criminals who plan, organise and commit serious criminal offences across the county, including drug supply, illegal firearms, knife crime, human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
