We are appealing for witnesses after a serious collision on the A50 eastbound near to Blythe Bridge just before the Creswell Road overbridge.
We were called at 7.05pm last night (Tuesday 10 December) to reports of a serious collision involving a white Citroen Berlingo van and a Mercedes articulated lorry.
The driver of the Citroen, a man in his 60s, was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital with a serious head injury. There were no passengers involved.
The driver of the lorry was not injured and is assisting police with the investigation.
We are keen to speak to anyone travelling on either carriageway with any CCTV or dashcam footage or those with any information which could help collision investigators.
Call us on 101, quoting incident 598 of 10 December, or message us using Live Chat on our website.
