People were invited to discuss their priorities and issues of concern, as part of a series of engagement days across Newcastle.
Officers from the Newcastle local policing team (LPT), including sergeants, police community support officers (PCSOs), and Newcastle Commander, Chief Inspector Darren McGrath, were joined by partner agencies in Newcastle and Kidsgrove on Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 August.
Members of the public were offered crime prevention advice and information on a range of topics, from public safety and bike safety to health and wellbeing, and had a chance to discuss any concerns they have about their communities.
The events also included increased foot patrols and engagement from our key partners, including Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and Newcastle Borough Council.
Sergeant Daniel Egerton, from the Newcastle LPT, said: “These events allow us to directly engage with residents to discuss local issues and understand how we and partner agencies can best support our communities.
“We are committed to tackling the priorities that matter most to local people and that’s why we’ll be carrying out further engagement days.
“However, these days are not a one off; the hard work will continue long after.”
Another event is due to take place on Friday 6 September in Chesterton. Please monitor our social media channels for further information and news on future events.
