A man has been arrested after a woman was struck with a stick in Stoke-on-Trent.
At 1.25pm yesterday afternoon (Wednesday 10 April), we got a call to Derby Street in Hanley after a man was seen causing a disturbance.
Later, the man picked up a brick and a stick and used them to hit a woman after being challenged. He was also seen jumping on cars in the area.
Thankfully, the victim’s injuries were not serious.
A 42-year-old man, of no-fixed-address, has been arrested on suspicion of assault thereby occasioning actual bodily harm.
He remains in custody while enquiries continue.
Anyone who saw what happened or those with CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage of the area at the time are asked to get in touch with us.
