A man has sadly died following a collision between a petrol powered push bike with pedals and a car in East Staffordshire.
It happened at around 11am yesterday (Wednesday 6 September) on Burton Road, Tutbury.
We went to the scene with colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and West Midlands Ambulance Service.
The rider of the bike, a man in his 80s, was taken to hospital.
Sadly, he later died as a result of his injuries.
Specially-trained officers are continuing to support his family at this distressing time.
The driver of the car, a black Ford KA, stayed at the scene and has been helping us with our enquiries. Fortunately, the driver was not injured.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or those with CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage from the area are asked to get in touch with us.
