Detectives are investigating following the death of a woman in Tamworth.
We were called to Raygill, Stoneydelph, at 8.46pm on Saturday (2 September), following reports of a woman in distress.
Officers went to the scene alongside paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service.
A woman in her 30s was found with injuries at the scene and taken to hospital.
Sadly, she was pronounced dead the following day (3 September).
Her family are being supported by specially-trained officers at this difficult time.
Officers set up a cordon at the address and have been speaking to nearby residents to find out more about what happened.
A 50-year-old man, from Tamworth, was arrested on suspicion of murder. He has since been released on conditional police bail while enquiries continue.
