We are appealing for information after a woman was punched unconscious by an unknown man in Stoke-on-Trent.
Between 5.30am and 6.30am on Saturday 14 January, the victim was talking with a friend on New Hall Street in Hanley, before being approached by an unknown man.
The suspect initially walked past the pair, but then turned around and punched the victim in the face, knocking her to the floor and causing her to lose consciousness.
The offender then ran away on foot.
The victim, a woman in her 30s, was treated in hospital after suffering a broken nose and further injuries but has now been discharged.
We’ve been making inquiries into the incident and reviewing all of the CCTV footage available from the scene in an attempt to identify the person responsible.
The offender is described as black, around 5ft 10in tall, in his early 20s and was wearing a denim jacket.
