We have arrested a man after another man was stabbed in Burton-upon-Trent.
At around 12.15am on Tuesday (15 August), we were called to the junction of Wetmore Road and Horninglow Road, after a member of the public reported seeing a man in distress.
He had suffered serious facial injuries and was taken to hospital. His injuries are believed to be life-changing.
A 23-year-old man, from Burton, was arrested nearby, on suspicion of attempted murder.
He has since been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
The investigation is on-going and detectives are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to get in touch.
