We are appealing for witnesses after a teenage girl died in a collision in Uttoxeter this afternoon (Saturday 12 August).
At 2.45pm, we were called to Ashbourne Road (the B5030) after two cars collided.
Officers went to the scene with paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service and colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service. The road was closed for a number of hours whilst emergency services worked at the scene.
A passenger of one of the cars, a teenage girl, was found with serious injuries. Sadly, she died at the scene. The driver of the same car was taken to hospital with leg injuries.
The driver of the other car was taken to hospital with abdominal and knee injuries.
We are keen to speak to anyone with any dashcam footage from the area at the time or those with any information which could help collision investigators.
Call us on 101, quoting incident 446 of 12 August, or message us using Live Chat on our website – www.staffordshire.police.uk
