Officers are appealing for information after reports of a burglary in Stoke-on-Trent.
It’s after a selection of high value fishing gear was taken from a garage on Barber Street, Chell sometime on 17 May.
Items taken include two Wychwood Big Pit Carp Reels, three Shimano Carp Rods, a Nash Warrior Carp Rod, a Fox Warrior Landing Net and Pole and a green rod bag.
Enquiries, including the assessment of local CCTV, are underway.
PC Nicholas Davies from the Stoke North Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “These items are of significant value and were taken after the owner had recently been the victim of a serious house fire.
“We’re doing all we can to find and return these items but are asking anyone to get in touch if they see items, matching the descriptions, being sold or offered online or in person.”
Anyone with any information should message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter quoting incident number 393 of 17 May, call 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
