Officers are appealing for information after a spate of vandalism incidents at Stafford Castle, with the latest taking place on Monday (7 June).
We were informed at 3.30pm of the latest incident, which saw the area around the lock on a door smashed to gain entry. The perpetrators, believed to be teenagers on BMX bikes, made their way onto the roof via a tower where they damaged a Perspex roof in two places.
While in the tower, they also smashed a window and damaged a further Perspex window too.
It is believed the incident happened overnight between Sunday (6 June) and Monday.
Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious around Stafford Castle, off Castle Bank, on Sunday evening into Monday morning or who has information which may assist enquiries is urged to message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter quoting incident number 484 of 7 June, call 101 or alternatively contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
