Officers are appealing for information after a woman was assaulted in Stoke-on-Trent.
Police were called shortly before 1am on Saturday 18 December to a location in Fenton.
Officers attended and woman in her 40s reported being approached by an unknown male offender as she walked along Alma Street at the junction of Watkin Street.
The offender approached the woman from behind before pushing her to the ground.
The victim was able to raise alarm and the offender made off on foot in the direction of Watkin Street and Marlborough Street.
The victim was left shaken but unhurt by the incident.
Officers have increased patrols in the local area and are appealing for anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of the area at the time of the incident to get in touch.
