Detectives are investigating after a 16-year-old male was stabbed in Canterbury Park in Winshill.
Police were called by the ambulance service at 8.30pm on Saturday (31 October) to reports that a male, from Burton-on-Trent, had been stabbed twice in the back. The incident happened near to the dome and the tennis courts in the park, off Melbourne Avenue.
The 16-year-old was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital and released the same evening.
Officers are keen to hear from anyone who was in the vicinity of Canterbury Park at the time.
