Deer stalking
Deer stalking is the shooting of deer for food, leisure or population control.
Increased numbers of deer can lead to crop damage and a greater risk of vehicle and deer collisions.
To shoot deer, you must:
- own a valid firearm certificate
- have the landowner's permission
- follow best practice safety and animal welfare guidance
