Thanks for trying the 'beta' version of our new website. It's a work in progress, we'll be adding new services over the next few weeks, so please take a look and tell us what you think.
Antisocial behaviour takes many forms, from aggressive, noisy or abusive behaviour to neighbourhood disturbances involving drugs or animals.
If you’ve witnessed antisocial behaviour, please report it to us.
Your neighbourhood can be an area where you live, work, or visit often.
Report unwanted "cold" sales phone calls or house visits
Unannounced visits by people to your home to sell goods or services (sometimes called 'cold visits' or 'cold calls') are not illegal, but you can deter these individuals by putting a sticker or notice on your door saying that you don't wish to receive cold visits.
If you’re getting unwanted cold phone-calls, we recommend contacting your phone service provider. They should be able to suggest several ways to screen and block incoming calls. You might also consider registering with the Telephone Preference Service.
If the visits or calls continue, the next step would be to contact the individual’s company to make a complaint.
If this doesn't deter them, contact your local Trading Standards office or Citizens Advice on 03454 04 05 06. They can give you further help and support.
