Three people have been arrested after three homes were searched earlier this month as part of an ongoing investigation into vehicle theft conspiracy in Staffordshire.
We’ve been compiling intelligence and working proactively to investigate a series of vehicle thefts across Staffordshire, including in Tamworth and Lichfield. More thefts are also being investigated alongside our colleagues in Leicestershire and Warwickshire.
Tamworth and Lichfield local policing teams worked alongside specialist officers to carry out the warrants in Tamworth earlier today as part of ongoing enquiries.
A 20-year-old man, from Tamworth was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to steal motor vehicles and dangerous driving. A 28-year-old man, also from Tamworth, and a 31-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to steal motor vehicles.
All three were released on conditional bail pending further investigation as our investigation continues.
