Becky Riggs, who is currently an Assistant Chief Constable (ACC) in our force, has been appointed as Deputy Chief Constable (DCC).
Becky brings a wealth of experience to this role, with more than 30 years’ service in policing, spanning a range of leadership roles across different forces.
She started her career in Dorset Constabulary as a police cadet and has worked for Hampshire Police, the Metropolitan Police and the City of London Police in roles leading on tackling child abuse and child sexual exploitation, fraud, counter terrorism and major investigations.
Becky has recently taken on the role of national policing lead for Child Protection – a topic which has been at the top of the news agenda both nationally and internationally over the last few months.
Becky will commence her new position when DCC Jon Roy, who joined Staffordshire Police in 2023, retires at the end of March.
