Plane crash in Ahmedabad
The UK is working with local authorities in India to urgently establish the facts and provide support to those involved.
A crack cocaine dealer has been jailed after we caught him selling drugs in east Staffordshire.
Lakan Illsley, 28, of Burton-on-Trent, was stopped while sat in a car in Uttoxeter on 10 September last year. He had a burner phone on him, cash and several deals of crack cocaine.
At the time, he was also on conditional bail for separate drug supply offences.
He was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A – crack cocaine.
After pleading guilty at an earlier hearing, Illsley was jailed for two-years-and-six-months at Stafford Crown Court today (Tuesday 20 May). He was also sentenced in relation to a separate investigation by British Transport Police, totalling a sentence of 10-years behind bars.
We’re continuing to target those committing high-harm offences in Staffordshire as part of ongoing action against serious and organised crime.
