We are appealing for information after a fatal collision in Cannock yesterday (22 March).
We were called to a report of a serious collision on the Hednesford Road near Rugeley at around 4pm. The collision was between a grey Land Rover and a grey MG. Sadly the driver of the MG, a man in his 40s, died at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed and are now being supported by specially trained officers.
The driver and passengers in the Land Rover were taken to hospital for further checks, but we believe their injuries are minor.
Detectives from our Serious Collision Investigation Unit are at the scene and are now trying to establish the circumstances leading up to the collision.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage of the incident should contact [email protected] quoting incident number 510 of 22 March.
