Two men have been convicted in court after a car was taken at knifepoint in Wombourne.
Dylan Maskery Hurd, 18, of Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, and Callum Talbot, 23, of Featherstone, appeared at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Monday (20 January) after being charged with offences relating to the robbery last year.

Maskery Hurd and Talbot stole a Volkswagen Golf R on Brooke Road on 11 September. They launched an attack on the victim after demanding his car keys and took them from his pocket.
Fortunately, the victim was not seriously injured.
We later found the car abandoned on a car park off Terrace Street, Brierley Hill, near Dudley.
Officers worked hard to capture all of available evidence and identify the suspects from CCTV footage.
Maskery Hurd and Talbot were both charged and eventually pleaded guilty to robbery at their court appearance on Monday. They have both been remanded ahead of their sentencing at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 21 March.
Detective Sergeant Marc Proctor, from our City Proactive Team, said: “We’re tightening the net on those involved in serious acquisitive crime each and every day across Staffordshire.
“I can assure local communities that burglary, theft and robbery remains a key focus area for proactive officers who are working around the clock to stop to those responsible and put them before the courts.”
#OpYammer is our ongoing effort to proactively target those responsible for acquisitive crime in our communities.
We’re working hard to investigate reports and to use all of our tactics and specialist resources to take down the criminal networks responsible for these types of crime.
