Three people have been arrested after a BMW car was stolen from a home in Acton Trussell.
We were called to an address near Cannock Road at about 1.35am on Sunday (5 January) to reports of a group of men who had smashed the window of the address and had taken the keys to a BMW X2.
The men got in the car and drove it away.
We sent officers to look for the car. It was spotted on Holdiford Road, Stafford. One of the men inside got out and ran to a Peugeot 208 that was parked up nearby. He got in the passenger seat and the driver made off.
The car didn’t get far and quickly stopped for officers.
A knife was found following a search of three people inside.
Three people were arrested:
All three were questioned and bailed with condition while the investigation continues.
