We’re expecting lots of people to be out enjoying themselves in Tamworth this weekend, with many football fans eagerly awaiting the visit of a Premier League team for the first time in the town’s history.
If you don’t know already, Tottenham Hotspur will be coming to town to play Tamworth in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday (12 January).
It’s going to be busy this Sunday and we’re here to make sure everyone enjoys the occasion safely and responsibly.
PC Rich Lymer (pictured) and other officers will be in the area this weekend.
He said: “This weekend is going to be a special occasion for so many people living locally, and we’re excited to be in and amongst it all and engaging with people having a good time.
“Officers will be visible around Tamworth and the Lamb Ground when they take on one of the Premier League elites, and we’re here to respond to any concerns people may have.”
Please allow for extra time travelling in and around the area this weekend.
