A man has been charged and three people arrested after we joined forces with officers from the British Transport Police (BTP) County Lines Taskforce for an operation at Stafford Railway Station yesterday (Monday 6 January).
Lee Webb, 34, from Wash Lane, Birmingham, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A (cocaine), and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
It comes after officers from our new county proactive and rural crime team took part in ticket enforcement and safeguarding patrols at the station and found drugs, cash and a starter pistol.
They also found a large amount of cash and weapons when they later searched addresses in the town and Birmingham.
Webb is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Tuesday 7 January).
