A man has been charged with strangulation, burglary, harassment and criminal damage offences following a number of separate incidents in Tamworth.
Bradley Smith, 36, of no fixed abode, has been charged with intentional strangulation, harassment without violence, burglary dwelling – attempt grievous bodily harm, burglary dwelling – no violence, criminal damage valued to a property under £5,000 and intimidating a witness.
It comes following a series of separate incidents in the area between 26 December 2024 and 4 January 2025.
We responded to reports that the same narrow boat had been broken into on two separate occasions. One man was assaulted but did not suffer life-threatening or life-changing injuries.
We also responded to reports that a woman has been assaulted inside an address and a separate report where criminal damage had been caused to a home.
Smith appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Wednesday 15 January) and has been remanded in custody ahead of his next appearance at Cannock Magistrates’ Court on 24 February.
