A man arranging the sale of class A drugs between Tamworth and the West Midlands has been jailed for more than four years.
Lentine Shaw, 30, of no fixed address, was sentenced at Stafford Crown Court on Monday (20 January) after admitting being concerned in the supply of heroin, crack cocaine and possession of criminal property.
Proactive officers started an investigation into the AJ drug line after arrests of suspected drug runners in Tamworth.
Messages showed Shaw had been directing people to sell the drugs in the area, leading to his arrest in Coventry on 2 August.
Officers are continuing to work alongside regional police forces in the Midlands to target serious and organised crime groups committing high-harm offences in our communities.
Drug lines often involve young people who are coerced into criminality by sophisticated career criminals.
We will act robustly against those responsible for these crimes and continue to work closely with partners to identify exploitation in Staffordshire.
